THE ORIGINAL “RAILWAY MAN” DOCUMENTARY DVD
“ENEMY, MY FRIEND”
NOW AVAILABLE FROM THE MUSEUM SHOP.

Recently the Royal Signals Museum was proud to host Mrs Patti Lomax, widow of the late Eric Lomax, Royal Signals, at the Museum to open the new Railway Man Exhibition.

The film “The Railway Man” recently released by Lionsgate and starring Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman, is a dramatisation of the life of Eric Lomax. Lomax was an officer in the Royal Corps of Signals throughout the Second World War.

As part of the exhibition the Museum was given kind permission to the remarkable documentary

“Enemy, My Friend ?”

This extraordinary film, made in 1995 by film maker Mike Finlason, tells the true story of the events that lead to the meeting between Eric and his Japanese interrogator Takashi Nagase on the Bridge over the River Kwai.

The film, completed prior to publication of the book, reveals the story through the words of Eric, Patti and Nagase.

If you have read the book, know the story or have seen the Lionsgate film then this documentary is an absolute must.....
